The Natural
resources were available in abundance in olden times and human interference was
limited. Therefore the ecological balance was well maintained. The cycle of the
seasons could be predicted.
Over the
period of time, due to over exploitation of Natural Resources, the conditions
turned hostile and unpredictable effecting the farmers practicing dry crops or
rain fed farming. To help the situation, the Government of India has provided
Meteorological Instruments to all the KVKs functioning in the country.
One such apparatus is installed at SSM
also. Now a range of weather Conditions can be tracked and recorded minute to
minute. Apart from the primary information, this set up has been networked
throughout the nation to exchange
extreme Meteorological conditions like Calamities, Drought conditions etc between
concerned agencies so as to take timely precautions.
